United Women Singapore, Alibaba Cloud launch tech training programme

The programme will benefit nearly 1,000 women in Singapore.

Alibaba Cloud has partnered with United Women Singapore (UWS) to launch its  "RiseHERs in Cloud" programme.

Under the programme, Alibaba Cloud and UWS will provide nearly 1,000 women with academic training and practical expertise within the next five years to prepare them for careers in technology.

The current landscape reveals that women account for 41% of tech professionals in the nation.

The program is free of cost and will cover critical topics like artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing. It will also offer internships and job attachments with Alibaba Cloud for the enrolled students.
