Singlife selects consulting firm for asset allocation

The homegrown insurer is looking to sophisticate its asset allocation strategies with Ortec Finance.

Singlife has chosen Ortec Finance, an investment decision technology and solutions business, as its strategic asset allocation consultant. This partnership will advance Singlife in improving its investment strategies.

Ortec Finance is set to establish a Singapore office in 2024 to serve its growing Asian client base better.

Through this collaboration, Singlife aims to achieve the following goals:

  • Enhanced Asset Allocation: Singlife will work closely with Ortec Finance to develop a detailed asset allocation strategy tailored to its risk tolerance, time horizon, and investment goals. This will optimise risk management while pursuing long-term returns.
  • Cutting-Edge Technology Integration: Singlife will utilise Ortec Finance's GLASS solution to automate and streamline its investment decision-making process for Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Strategic Risk Management. It is said to enable faster and more informed investment decisions by modelling dynamic asset relationships.
  • Innovation and Industry Leadership: Singlife and Ortec Finance will collaborate to create innovative investment solutions that meet customer needs. Borth parties said the collaboration will also facilitate knowledge exchange with other financial institutions, fostering industry-wide innovation.
