Late buying pushes KLCI higher

The Malaysian bourse managed to hold above the 1670 level.

OCBC Treasury Research noted:

Late buying pushed KLCI higher on Monday, as the bourse managed to hold above the 1670 level. With Wall Street closed overnight due to the hurricane, investors would look for cues out of the Eurozone and Japan, where the BOJ will hold its monetary policy meeting. We continue to see a dearth of cues from the local front although the onset of the earning session in the region could potentially provide some sparks in the market.
