SGX adds dividend-focused ETF under SSE-SGX ETF Link

The new addition brings the AUM of SGX’s 48 ETFs to $13.7b as of March 24.

SGX Securities has listed Lion-China Merchants CSI Dividend Index ETF under the SSE-SGX ETF Link.

SSE-SGX ETF Link is a collaboration between SGX Group and the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE).

The ETF provides investors with access to a diversified portfolio of dividend-paying stocks. It is managed by Lion Global Investors (LGI).

In addition, the ETF is also designed to mirror the performance of the China Merchants CSI Dividend Index ETF listed on the SSE.

The CSI Dividend Index comprises the 100 highest-ranked stocks listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen, based on their consistent dividend payments over the past three years.

With this ETF listing, the total number of ETFs on SGX has reached 48, with combined assets under management (AUM) of $13.7b as of 24 March.

“The Lion-China Merchants CSI Dividend Index ETF will provide both domestic and international investors with the opportunity to participate in the growth and dividend yields of high-quality A-share listed companies,” Sun Mingxia, deputy general manager of China Merchants Fund Management said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
