H1 2025 sees strong business confidence in most sectors: report

Meanwhile, the F&B and the transportation and storage sectors are less optimistic.

The information and communication industry expresses positive sentiments for the period from January to June at +16%, according to SingStat.

SingStat reported that information services firms are optimistic, citing strong demand for data and cloud services.

Similarly, the finance and insurance industry (+14%) expects business conditions to improve. SingStat stated that banks anticipate an increase in investment activities and loan demand due to potentially lower interest rates.

In addition, the administrative and support services industry (+10%) remains optimistic about its business outlook at. Firms offering cleaning and landscape maintenance services anticipate a rise in demand, whilst employment and recruitment agencies foresee an uptick in demand for their services.

On the flip side, food and beverage (F&B) operators (-16%) are less optimistic about business prospects compared to the July to December 2024 period, which coincided with year-end holidays and the festive season.

The transportation and storage industry (-8%) also expects more challenging business conditions over the next six months. Water transport firms remain cautious about the global economic outlook and anticipate lower market demand for their services.
