YouTrip launches MYR wallet and offers free weekend shuttle service

Users will have to prebook slots for the shuttle services.

YouTrip has launched a Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) wallet.

The Singapore-headquartered multi-currency digital wallet says that Singaporeans can now exchange money through the YouTrip app with no hidden fees or FX markups.

YouTrip observed that Singaporeans often monitor MYR exchange rates two weeks before their trip, and anticipates that this trend of pre-trip currency conversions will persist.

To celebrate the launch, YouTrip is offering free shuttle buses across the Causeway until 11 May 2025.

It will be available across four weekends from 19 April to 11 May 2025, between 9AM and 9:30 PM at 30 minute intervals.

Users must pre-book their slots via a sign-up form available on YouTrip’s Instagram and Telegram channels.

The shuttle service will take users from the Kranji MRT station to Mid Valley Southkey (North Entrance). Return trips to Singapore will depart in the same location.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
