YZJ Shipbuilding led the gains amongst top active stocks with a 3.1% rise. The Straits Times Index ended 7.01 or 0.22% higher at 3,238.86. The top active stocks were United Engineers, which dipped0.37%, SingTel, which slipped 3.64%, DBS, which grew 0.23%, YZJ Shipbuilding, which expanded 3.1%, and Wilmar International with a 2% rise. The FTSE Mid Cap inched up 0.36% whilst the FTSE Small Cap rose 0.67%.
