HDB rents rise 0.7% MoM in March

By room type, 3 Room recorded the highest rent increase.

HDB rents rose by 0.7% MoM and 26.8% YoY in March, data from 99.co and SRX.

Rents climbed in both the mature and non-mature estates, rising by 0.2% MoM and 1.2% MoM, respectively. 

Three of the four room types also recorded MoM rent increases in March, led by 3 Room (+2.1%), 5 Room (+0.8%), and Executive (+0.3%). Rents for the 4 Room declined by 0.4% MoM.

Volumes, on the other hand, increased in March, climbing 14.8% MoM to 3,007 HDB flats.

The volume was 1.1% higher than the March 2022 record, and 0.1% higher than the five-year average volume for March.

Of the total volume, 33.8% was from 3 Room, 37.0% from 4 Room, 23.7% from 5 Room and 5.5% from Executive.
