HDB rents rise 1.2% MoM in February

By room type, 4 Room and Executive recorded the highest rent increase.

HDB rents rose by 1.2% MoM and  27.7% YoY in February, data from 99.co and SRX.

Rents climbed in both the mature and non-mature estates and across all room types.

For mature and non-mature estates, rents increased by 1.7% MoM and 0.8% MoM, respectively. 

By room type, the increases were 0.6% MoM for 3 Room, 1.8% MoM for 4 Room, 1.4% for 5 Room, and 1.8% MoM for Executive.

Volumes, on the other hand, decreased in February, falling 7.2% MoM to 2,619 HDB flats.

The volume was 4.1% lower than February 2022, but 0.6% higher than the five-year average volume for February/

Of the total volume, 33.6% was from 3 Room, 36.1% from 4 Room, 24.5% from 5 Room and 5.8% from Executive.
