HDB unveils 10,118 flats for sale

Around 5,110 are build-to-order units.

The Housing and Development Board of Singapore has unveiled 10,118 flats for sale under the November 2016 Built-To-Order and Sale of Balance Flats exercise.

According to the board, this has been their largest BTO and SBF exercise for the year, comprising 5,110 BTO units and 5,008 SBF units across 25 towns/estates.

"This launch brings the total BTO supply in 2016 to 17,891 units. Together with the 10,178 balance flats offered in the May and Nov 2016 SBF exercises, a total of 28,069 flats will be launched in 2016, to meet the housing needs of Singaporeans," the group said in a statements.

Under the BTO exercise, the group pointed out that first-timer families can enjoy up to $80,000 of housing grants, comprising the Additional CPF Housing Grant (AHG) (up to $40,000) and the Special CPF Housing Grant (SHG) (up to $40,000).

"With these grants, the selling prices of 2-room Flexi, 3-room, 4-room and 5-room flats start from $4,0001, $94,000, $203,000 and $319,000 respectively," HDB said.

Meanwhile, HDB will offer 5,008 balance flats in 11 non-mature towns and 14 mature towns/estates under the SBF exercise. They comprise 635 units of 2-room Flexi, 1,266 units of 3-room, 2,233 units of 4-room, 837 units of 5-room, 23 units of 3Gen, 13 units of executive flats and one unit of Multi-
Generation flat.

Application for the new flats launched can be submitted online until November 28.
