Owner listings up 3.0% QoQ in 1Q24

Year-on-year, listings were 47.8% higher.

Owner listings slightly rose in 1Q24, rising 3.0% to 68 from 66 in the previous quarter.

Year-on-year, the number of listings was 47.8% higher.

Knight Frank said the number of owner listings exceeded mortgagee listings for the eighth consecutive quarter.

“Whilst the auction platform continued to appeal to owners in order to garner more interest in their properties, some owner listings could have arisen out of distress, where in certain cases financial institutions might encourage owners to dispose of these assets before repossession proceedings are initiated,” Knight Fra said.

The residential segment accounted for 31 of the owner listings in 1Q24.

The segment’s 1Q24 figure was higher than the 26 and 12 recorded in the previous quarter and year, respectively.

Office and industrial owner listings numbered seven and 13, respectively, in 1Q24, translating to a decline from the nine and 15 listings in 4Q24. Meanwhile,  retail owner listings remained unchanged from the previous quarter with 15.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
