Indonesia puts franchise limits

Maximum is 150 outlets for supermarkets and department stores franchise holders.

OCBC Treasury Research noted:

The Trade Ministry has issued regulation for franchise holders of minimarts, supermarkets and department stores, putting a limit of 150 outlets per franchise owner. Additionally, a minimum of 80% locally-made products must be sold in the stores.
