1 in 3 Singaporeans started holiday shopping in October: FedEx

FedEx said it generated US$5.7b in economic impact across Singapore and APAC.

Singaporeans started their holiday shopping in as early as October, becoming one of Asia Pacific’s longest festive shopping windows, according to data from FedEx.

An estimated 34% of Singaporean consumers started shopping for the holidays in October, the express package delivery company said in a press release.

FedEx delivered US$5.7b of direct and indirect economic impact across Singapore and the APAC region in FY2025. This supported trade, e-commerce, and high-growth sectors including healthcare and the life sciences, FedEx said.

In Singapore, FedEx has 1,500 parcel drop-off points, including over 1,000 Pick smart lockers and 43 SingPost locations.

FedEx also has an EV fleet in Singapore and over 50% of electricity at its South Pacific Regional Hub is powered by solar energy, it said in a press release.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
