CapitaMall Trust spends S$65.1m of private placement on capex, asset enhancements

Equivalent to 26.5% of net proceeds.

In a release, CapitaMall Trust (CMT) manager, CapitaMall Trust Management Limited, announced that S$65.1 million of the net proceeds -- which is equivalent to 26.5% and 26.0% of the net proceeds and gross proceeds of the private placement, respectively -- from its recent private [lacement has been used to pay for certain committed capital expenditure and asset enhancement initiatives of the portfolio of properties of CMT.

Such use is in accordance with the stated use and in accordance with the percentage of the gross proceeds of the Private Placement allocated to such use, assured CMT.

Further announcements will be released via SGXNET when the remaining proceeds of the private placement, which involve the issuance of 139,665,000 new units to institutional and other investors at S$1.79 per new unit, are materially disbursed.
