Discover these new-to-Singapore brands that opened stores in the CBD in Q3

Includes brands such as Moleskine and Chabuton.

In spite of Singapore’s tepid retail scene, a number of new-to-Singapore brands still set up shop in Orchard Road and the CBD in Q3. Several global brands also launched new flagship stores in the period.

According to Savills, lifestyle brand Moleskine launched its first standalone store in Asia at ION Orchard, while Michelin-starred chef Yasuji Morizumi opened Singapore’s first Chabuton at 313 @ Somerset.

Meanwhile, Roberto Cavalli and Coach chose to open their respective flagship stores at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Coach’s 2,422 sq ft store is its first flagship store in Southeast Asia. Chyra also launched its first flagship store at Suntec City Tower 3.

Over at Scotts Road, the revamp of Shaw Centre and part of Shaw House was completed in Q3. Shaw Centre’s major tenants such as Mango and restaurants from the Les Amis group stayed on, while newcomers such as Polo Ralph Lauren and SK-II Boutique Spa also were also added to the centre’s tenant mix .

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
