Singtel launches 5G network slicing for iPhone business apps
The feature supports apps that align with Apple’s traffic categories—such as Streaming and Communication.
Singtel has announced the launch of app-based 5G network slicing for enterprise users on supported iPhone and iPad models.
The service enables enterprise applications to access dedicated slices of Singtel’s 5G network, with the goal of improving connectivity and performance, particularly for data-intensive apps used in business settings.
The feature supports apps that align with Apple’s traffic categories, such as Streaming and Communication, and those managed via Mobile Device Management platforms.
According to Singtel, this network slicing capability is designed to provide more consistent bandwidth, lower latency, and prioritisation of critical app data traffic.
Supported applications include collaboration and communication tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, FaceTime, and WhatsApp.
The network slicing function is available on iPhone 14 or later devices running iOS 18.2 or higher, and on selected iPads with iPadOS 18.2 or higher.
