Car-selling platform Motorist unveils mobile app for vehicle management

The app notifies users regarding COE renewal, car recalls, road tax expiry and traffic fines.

Automotive startup Motorist has launched its Motorist App which provides a centralised platform for Singapore's car owners. Through the app, drivers can receive notifications and reminders for COE renewal, vehicle recalls, road tax expiry and traffic fines. Users can also unlock personalised assistance from its ‘AutoConcierge’ feature.

The Motorist app allows users to either pay their fines or file an appeal, see a quick overview of their car, view traffic cameras around Singapore and stay up-to-date with the latest traffic incidents along their preferred driving routes.

“With the Motorist App, our goal is to become a one-stop platform that covers the four aspects of vehicle ownership: buy, drive, maintain, and sell. Motorist is currently strong with selling, and that is why we’ll be focusing our business on the buy, drive and maintain portion with the Motorist App,” said Damian Sia, Motorist’s CEO and founder.

Launched in 2015, Motorist aims to simplify car ownership in Singapore and has completed over 9,700 transactions that are worth more than $185m in vehicle value.
