COE prices close mostly higher in latest bidding exercise

Open vehicles under Category E saw the highest increase of $3,380.

Certificate of entitlement (COE) premiums closed mostly higher in the latest bidding exercise, an announcement revealed.

Premiums for Category A cars which are those up to 1600cc and 130bhp closed at $26,659, which is a $350 price increase from the last bidding exercise. It also received the highest number of bids at 2,204.

Meanwhile, premiums for Category B vehicles, or those above 1600cc or 130bhp, recorded a $2,240 increase from $36,961 to $39,401.

Goods vehicles and buses under Category C premiums closed at $27,021 an increase of $11 from the last bidding exercise.

Motorcycle premiums under Category D closed at $3,469, down from the $3,602 recorded in the last exercise.

Open Category COEs which can be used for any vehicle type posted the largest price increase of $3,380, closing at $41,000 from $37,620.

Overall, a total of 6,262 bids were received in the latest bidding exercise.
