Check out the story of a young lawyer who studied law while he was behind bars.

Singapore’s most influential lawyers aged 40 and under is now on its third year. There are more or less 5,000 lawyers in Singapore, but these 24 women and 46 men dominate the city’s legal sector.

This 2016, we are bringing you again Singapore’s 70 legal elites specialising on family, intellectual property, cyber, mergers and acquisitions, international, oil and gas, tort, international trade, and finance.

No matter what the experience level is, they were selected from a list of almost a hundred nominees based on thought leadership, influence, and success. The youngest lawyer’s practice environment is family law while the most senior one specialises in capital markets and finances.

In addition, keep an eye out for the former inmate who is now helping those in need of legal advice. From their pro-bono works up to international consultations, they truly have the competence of not only representing themselves, but also Singapore.

These lawyers are arranged from youngest to the oldest.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
