Olam chairman Lim Ah Doo to step down on 27 April

Deputy Chairman Yap Chee Keong is set to assume the role.

Olam Group chairman Lim Ah Doo will step down after completing his nine-year tenure as an independent director, with deputy chairman Yap Chee Keong set to assume the role.

The change will take effect at the conclusion of its fifth annual general meeting (AGM) on 27 April 2026, according to a bourse filing.

Co-founder and group CEO Sunny Verghese will also step down, but will continue as CEO of Olam Agri.

On the board, ofi CEO Shekhar Anantharaman will be appointed as executive director following the AGM.

In addition, the company plans to appoint a lead independent director, with the search for another independent director underway.

Separately, group CFO N. Muthukumar will step down on 27 April and continue as COO of Olam Agri. Venkataraman Krishnan will be appointed as the new group CFO on the same day.

Furthermore, the company will appoint Gautam Wadhwa as CEO of OGH, effective 20 April.
