Olam Group sells Mindsprint for $483.8m amidst restructuring push

Wipro will provide eight-year digital and AI-led transformation services to Olam Group.

Olam Group has agreed to sell its IT and digital services unit Mindsprint to Wipro for $483.8m (USD375m), as part of its Updated 2025 Re-organisation Plan, according to a company announcement.

The transaction involves the sale of Olam Group’s 100% stake in Mindsprint and is subject to closing adjustments and customary conditions with completion expected by end of June 2026.

The group said the divestment aligns with its plan to monetise remaining assets over time and distribute net proceeds to shareholders via special dividends.

Alongside the sale, Olam Group has awarded Wipro an eight-year strategic transformation contract with a committed annual spend of $129m (USD100m). This represents approximately 55% to 60% of the group’s annual technology and shared services expenditure.

Under the agreement, Wipro will provide end-to-end transformation services using a consulting-led and AI-powered approach. The engagement will include the use of Wipro Intelligence, its suite of AI-driven platforms and solutions.

Olam Group said in their announcement that the partnership will support transformation across its “farm to fork” value chain, including farming, manufacturing, trading, supply chain operations, and customer engagement.

Following completion, Mindsprint will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Wipro. Its management team, led by CEO Suresh Sundararajan, will remain in place.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
