ST Engineering names Jeffrey Lam as deputy CEO

He will assume the post on 1 June.

ST Engineering has named Jeffrey Lam as group deputy CEO, adding a new leadership role at the group level as the company sharpens oversight across its expanding global business.

Lam will assume the role on 1 June. He currently serves as group chief operating officer and president of commercial aerospace, and will step down from both positions as part of the changes.

He will continue reporting to group president and CEO Vincent Chong and remain a member of the Group Executive Committee. Lam will also continue to oversee the Commercial Aerospace business.

ST Engineering said Lam will support the group CEO on enterprise priorities, including alignment across business units, group-wide synergies, and organisational management.

Separately, the company appointed Kevin Chow as President of Commercial Aerospace with effect from 1 June. Chow currently heads Aerostructures and Systems within the Commercial Aerospace business.

The leadership changes come as ST Engineering continues to execute on its business strategy across its global operations

Earlier this year, the group’s marine unit secured a six-year subcontract worth about $600m from Abu Dhabi Ship Building for the design and platform supply of eight Missile Gun Boats for the Kuwait Naval Force.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
