Amity Global Institute wins Higher Education honour at Singapore Business Review International Business Awards 2026

Recognition underscores strategic campus expansion and commitment to sustainable growth.

Amity Global Institute (AGI) has been awarded the Higher Education honour at the Singapore Business Review International Business Awards 2026 for its flagship campus expansion initiative, Project Elevate.

This recognition highlights AGI’s strategic approach to sustainable growth through the expansion of its Orchard Road campus, whilst maintaining the high academic standards and student experience the institute is known for.

A future-ready campus in the heart of Orchard Road
Located within Orchard Gateway, the newly expanded three-floor campus reflects AGI’s commitment to developing a modern, future-ready learning environment for both full-time students and working professionals.

The project represents an investment of approximately $6m over a 12-month period, covering infrastructure, technology, and student-focused facilities.

Situated within one of Singapore’s most vibrant precincts and near the Emerald Hill redevelopment under the Orchard Road rejuvenation, the campus offers a compelling blend of academic excellence and lifestyle. The surrounding environment enhances the student experience through its cultural richness, greenery, and diverse dining options, creating a well-rounded and globally relevant learning setting.

Designed for sustainable growth
Project Elevate was developed in response to rising demand for Amity’s programmes, with a focus on long-term capacity building rather than short-term expansion.

The expanded campus spans approximately 4,957 square feet and includes: an increase in classrooms from 22 to 30, a new 200-seat auditorium for lectures, events, and academic activities, and the capacity to accommodate an additional 1,500 students.

Technology-enabled learning environment
The campus integrates advanced teaching and operational systems to support a seamless learning experience.

These include smart classrooms with 100–110 inch LED displays, the integration of Panopto for lecture capture and blended learning, biometric attendance systems linked to the Student Management System, high-speed network infrastructure powered by Singtel E-Lite and E-Volve systems, and support for up to 2,500 connected devices, with enhanced cybersecurity.

Strategic location and accessibility
The campus is located directly opposite Somerset MRT Station, offering excellent accessibility via public transport.

Its position within Singapore’s premier shopping and lifestyle district enhances both visibility and convenience, particularly for mid-career professionals pursuing part-time studies alongside work commitments.

Strong growth trajectory
Amity has experienced significant enrolment growth alongside the development of Project Elevate, from over 2,000 students in 2023, to over 3,000 students in 2024 and more than 4,600 students in 2025.

Looking ahead
In 2026, Amity is exploring the launch of new undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across disciplines such as business, finance, technology, tourism, media, cybersecurity, public health, and education.

These programmes will be developed in collaboration with existing university partners. A potential new partnership is currently under discussion.
