COTD: Auction listings jump 10% QoQ in Q3

The increase was driven by 85 mortgagee sale listings.

The total number of auction listings rose by 10.0% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 132 in the third quarter of 2025 (Q3), according to a Knight Frank report.

The increase was driven by 85 mortgagee sale listings, which were 32.8% or 21 more than the 64 in the prior quarter (Q2 2025).

Of the 132 listings, nine properties were sold at auction, yielding a gross sale value of $27.4m and a success rate of 6.8%.

Listings of other types also increased to 18, but owner sale listings dropped 29.3% from 41 to 29.

Residential properties accounted for the bulk of listings with 77 properties (58.3%), followed by 33 industrial listings (25.0%) and 20 retail shops (15.2%).

Office assets saw only one listing, a decrease of eight from nine in the previous quarter, with shophouses also recording only one listing.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
