Food logistics facility at Jalan Besut launches freezer space for lease
CBRE said the space can accommodate about 7,000 to 10,000 pallet positions.
A ramp-up food logistics facility at 8 Jalan Besut in western Singapore has been launched for lease, with Level 3 freezer space now available, according to its leasing agent CBRE.
CBRE said the available space has achieved a temporary occupation permit and has been operating as freezer space for the past year.
The rest of the development is slated for full completion in the first half of 2026. Upper levels will feature a high-bay automated storage and retrieval system of about 45 metres, with the capacity to store up to 80 million kilograms of food, the release said.
The site is located in western Singapore, about a five-minute drive to the Ayer Rajah Expressway, with connectivity to Jurong Port and Tuas Mega Port. It is about 12 minutes from Jurong East MRT and around six minutes from the future Jurong Pier MRT station.
Level 3 is zoned Business 2 and spans about 8,201 sq m, with a 10-metre floor-to-ceiling height and 8.85 metres of clear storage height to the sprinkler clearance line.
CBRE said the space can accommodate about 7,000 to 10,000 pallet positions. Floor loading is 25 kN per sq m for warehouse areas and 15 kN per sq m for ante rooms, with temperature ranges of 4–7°C for chiller and ante rooms and -25 to -27°C for freezer areas.
The facility includes 16 loading bays that can handle 20- and 40-foot trailers, a 16-metre driveway, 300 amps of power at the distribution board, 16 reefer charging points, and six forklift charging points.
