Property launches: Starlight at River Valley and Tree House in District Choa Chu Kang

Two new properties at opposite ends of the spectrum are being soft launched this month, one for investors and the other for families.

Starlight by Tiong Aik Group
Location: District 9, 11 River Valley Close
When: Soft launch on 14 April 2010
Tenure: Freehold
T.O.P.: March 2015
Type: 35-storey development; comprises mostly of 1-2 bedrooms, with penthouses offering 3-4 bedrooms.
Analyst’s forecast: 1, 1 + study units will very likely be snatched up by investors, as most developments nearby start from 2 bedrooms. These units are comparably more affordable, and can provide more competitive prices for rental and resale in the future.

Tree House by CDL & Hong Realty
Location: District 23, 60-68 Chestnut Avenue
When: Soft launch on 22 April 2010
Tenure: 99 years
T.O.P.: Dec 2014
Type: 4 blocks of 24-storey apartments, with a total of 429 units of 2 to 5 bedrooms.
Analyst’s forecast: More for home-stayers, with nice unblocked reservoir and greenery view. Has an impressive array of facilities, including an amphitheatre, skating rink, floating hammock and tree top walk. Prices start from $620,000 - $690,000 for a 2 bedroom unit.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
