URA tenders conserved Little India buildings for residential reuse

Tender closes 28 July 2026.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority has launched a sale tender for a cluster of conserved buildings at Chitty Road and Veerasamy Road in Little India.

The site comprises 18 two-storey conserved pre-war buildings built in 1927 on a 0.34-hectare site within the Little India Historic District.

URA said the buildings were originally municipal quarters for government employees and are arranged as two parallel rows of terrace houses linked by a back lane.

The authority said structural investigations have been carried out, and reports will be made available to tenderers to assess the restoration and strengthening works required.

URA said the successful tenderer will be guided to restore the buildings and adapt them for residential or long-stay serviced apartment use in line with conservation guidelines, with the tender closing at 12:00 pm on 28 July.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
