Vidacity opens One-North hub amidst startup deployment bottleneck

It will have 80 pilots planned over five years to push startups beyond testing phase.

Vidacity has opened Vidacity @ One-North at JTC’s LaunchPad @ One-North in Singapore to support startups in testing and commercialising sustainability solutions through pilot deployments and industry partnerships.

In a statement, the company said the 32,000-square-foot site at 69 Ayer Rajah Crescent launches fully occupied with four tenant partners and one ground floor unit for pop-up activations and innovation showcases.

Vidacity plans to support up to 200 additional companies and enable 80 pilot deployments over five years across agrifood, the built environment and energy solutions, bringing together startups, researchers and industry partners across the same focus areas.

The launch extends Vidacity’s first Singapore site in Pasir Ris, where it facilitated 30 collaborations and pilots over the past two years.

Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry, officiated the opening, the press release said.

Vidacity said the hub aligns with efforts under the reimagined LaunchPad announced at MTI’s Committee of Supply in March 2026, alongside Kampong AI and The Meeting Point at LaunchPad @ One-North.

Vidacity said the hub will support startups and research-driven ventures in moving from early validation to deployment through access to partners, pilot opportunities and commercial pathways.

Vidacity has established partnerships with the Urban Solutions & Sustainability Innovation & Enterprise Office (USS IEO), a national platform hosted by A*STAR, JTC, and ACE.SG.

Under the USS IEO collaboration, startups may be connected to Vidacity programmes, such as VidaCircle and VidaCapital Academy, and introduced to pilot and deployment opportunities.

Under the JTC partnership, Vidacity will work on proof-of-concept opportunities and startup engagements across LaunchPad @ One-North and Punggol Digital District, with access to Vidacity’s innovation spaces and networks in Singapore and overseas.

Under the ACE.SG partnership, both organisations will coordinate founder referrals, programmes and ecosystem activities at LaunchPad @ One-North and across Singapore’s startup network. ACE.SG operates Stage One at LaunchPad @ One-North.

Vidacity plans to launch an AI for Impact series with partners focused on AI applications linked to industry and sustainability challenges.

The site includes Stage One for startup support services, VNTR Kitchen as a community space, N9 Offices for flexible workspace, and Lorong AI on Level 3.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
