Thailand manufacturing production slipped 5.8%

This is worse than the -4.3% forecast in the market.

According to OCBC, manufacturing production slipped 5.8% yoy in July, worse than the -4.3% yoy forecasted in the market. Meanwhile, the government has rejected calls to double its THB 15bn intervention scheme in the domestic rubber industry. This was seen as a surprise u-turn following earlier comments that the authorities would want to beef up local farmers’ earnings.
