Majority of Singapore NODX markets recovered strongly in 2012

Seven of 10 top markets grew.

According to IE Singapore's annual 2012 trade performance review, NODX to all top markets, except the EU 27, Malaysia and the US, rose in 2012. The biggest contributors to the increase in 2012 were Hong Kong (+11.6 per cent), South Korea (+12.0 per cent) and Taiwan (+8.7 per cent).

Electronic NODX to the EU 27, the US, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan declined in 2012. The biggest contributors to the electronic NODX decline were the EU 27 (-20.4 per cent), the US (-17.7 per cent) and Malaysia (-11.8 per cent).

Non-electronic NODX to all top markets, except Malaysia, grew in 2012. The biggest contributors to the increase in non-electronic NODX were South Korea (+22.0 per cent), the US (+11.7 per cent) and Hong Kong (+18.7 per cent).
