Acrophyte Hospitality Trust appoints new CEO

James Sung Jung will officially take office on 16 July.

Acrophyte Hospitality Trust (ACRO-HT) has appointed James Sung Jung as chief executive officer of Acrophyte Hospitality Trust Management Pte. Ltd., the manager of Acrophyte Hospitality Property Trust (ACRO-REIT), and Acrophyte Hospitality Business Trust Management Pte. Ltd.

Jung, who has served as director of investments since ACRO-HT's listing in 2019, will oversee the Trust's strategic direction, management and operations. He will officially assume the role on 16 July 2026.

Outgoing CEO Lee Jin Yong will remain with the Managers until 31 July 2026 to support the leadership transition and ensure continuity of ACRO-HT's strategic and operational plans.

Jung brings more than 20 years of experience in hospitality investments, acquisitions, dispositions and asset management. Before joining ACRO-HT, he spent more than a decade at HEI Hotels & Resorts, where he led feasibility and transaction activities within its private equity platform and third-party business development operations.

During his career, he has been involved in approximately US$2b worth of transactions with institutional investors, private equity firms and U.S.-based REITs.

Jung also previously worked in technology enterprise consulting across the gaming, lodging and banking sectors. He holds a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University and an MBA from the State University of New York at Albany.
