Singapore service sector contracted 8.8% in 2010

The only service sectors that showed growth are financial services sector and tourism-related business, HSBC said.

Despite the lower annual growth, sequential growth actually came in higher at 4.7% q-o-q SAAR (vs. 0.6% in Q2).

The tourism-related business are benefitting from the hoards of tourists streaming in.
