STB inks 3-year CCPIT deal to pull China exhibitions to Singapore

Pact includes sustainability, digital transformation, and talent cooperation, with joint promotion in advanced manufacturing.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MOU), establishing formal cooperation in the exhibition industry.

The MOU outlines a cooperative framework across three areas. CCPIT will encourage Chinese exhibition enterprises to organise international economic and trade exhibitions in Singapore, whilst STB will support these entities with government liaison and industry connections.

Both parties will jointly promote exhibitions in sectors of shared focus, including advanced manufacturing, clean energy, technology and innovation, and healthcare.

Collaboration under the agreement also includes knowledge exchange and cooperation in sustainable development, digital transformation, and talent cultivation within the exhibition sector.

CCPIT stated the MOU aims to strengthen exhibition cooperation between China, Singapore, and Southeast Asia, emphasising industrial linkages and regional economic activity.

STB described the partnership as part of its efforts to deepen international business events cooperation and encourage greater participation by Chinese organisations in Singapore exhibitions.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
