Testing times: Worries over Singapore production intensify

Despite a small boost in electronics in April, overall production is still in the red.

According to Moody's Analytics, production in Singapore has been downbeat lately, mostly because of a changeover in drug production.

"Electronics production improved in April, although it remains lower than it was the same time a year ago. Although we expect a bounce in May, this would mostly be due to a weak base from a year ago, as production overall was weighed down by the European situation and the slowdown in China," it said.
