Keppel O&M delivers fifth jackup rig to Borr Drilling

Borr Drilling will have eight KFELS B Class rigs following delivery.

Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M)’s wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel FELS has delivered a jackup rig to O&G service firm Borr Drilling, according to a press release.

Named Heimdal, the jackup rig was built to its proprietary KFELS B Class design, and is the fifth of eleven jackup rigs that Borr Drilling has ordered from Keppel. Following this delivery, Borr Drilling will have eight KFELS B Class rigs in their fleet.

Developed by Keppel O&M’s technology arm, Offshore Technology Development, the rig is made to operate in 400 ft water depth and drill to 30,000 feet, and is equipped with a full 15,000 psi BOP system, with accommodation for up to 150 personnel.

Keppel previously delivered the Saga, Skald, Thor and Hermod jackup rigs to Borr Drilling, with the most recent one brought last October 2019.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
