Geo Energy Group doubles sales volume to 3.4 million tonnes in Q3

The firm's coal sales jumped as average selling price declined.

Geo Energy Group recorded a sales volume of 3.4 million tonnes in Q32025, doubling from 1.7 million tonnes in the same period last year, as the firm improved its coal access after it improved its mining plans in 2024.

Higher sales volume also pushed Geo Energy’s revenue to increase by 62% to $177.7m (US$136.6m) in Q3, compared to $109.6m (US$84.3m) the year before, as the average selling price of $52.17 (US$40.09) per tonne during the period was lower compared to $64.19 (US$49.33) per tonne last year.

The company declared an interim dividend of $0.10 per share for the period.

The firm maintained its profitability track record with profit for the period of $2.92m (US$3.2m) for the period, despite the decrease in coal prices, it said.

USD1 = $1.30

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
