IMDA launches second call to allocate 200MW data centre capacity
The new call sets efficiency and green-energy conditions for applicants.
The Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) launched the second Data Centre Call for Application (DC-CFA2) on 01 December 2025, opening at least 200 MW of new data-centre capacity for allocation.
Under DC-CFA2, applicants must demonstrate fixed-asset investment, business expenditure and broader economic contributions in addition to technical specifications.
Key requirements include achieving a facility Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.25 or better, deploying IT equipment that meets the Singapore Standard on Energy Efficiency of Data Centre IT Equipment, and sourcing at least 50% of power from eligible green energy pathways, according to IMDA.
The DC-CFA2 exercise forms part of Singapore’s long-term approach to managing data-centre expansion whilst meeting energy-efficiency requirements, supporting the development of digital infrastructure within defined sustainability parameters.
