Sembcorp buys ReNew Sun Bright to tap into India solar

ReNew operates a 300-MW solar power project located in Rajasthan, India.

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) acquired a 100% stake in ReNew Sun Bright Private Limited (ReNew Sun Bright). 

ReNew Sun Bright owns and operates a 300-megawatt (MW) solar power project located in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan, India, Sembcorp said in a release.

Sembcorp’s renewable capacity installed and under development in India currently stands at over 7.6 gigawatts (GWs).

Globally, its renewables portfolio stands at 20.2GWs, including an acquisition pending completion, it added.

Sembcorp completed the acquisition through its wholly-owned subsidiary Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited.
