AIA Singapore's remote staff to receive $1,000

The insurer will also allow flexibility in working arrangements.

AIA Singapore will grant employees $1,000 as work from home assistance, according to an announcement.

The lump sum is available to all permanent and contract staff. The insurer is working to extend flexible work from home arrangements for its staff, will allow them to customise their time and working arrangements, and will grant them additional days off.

AIA Singapore has also partnered with learning provider Hyper Island to co-design a digital mindset cultural programme, named Digital Ei8ht, to encourage employees to embrace experimentation and innovation, in addition to LinkedIn Learning where all employees have access to content such as customer experience, customer relationship management, digital and tech, and personal effectiveness.

Moreover, the insurer will be offering over 200 job opportunities through its various recruitment campaigns for those interested in wealth management and insurance associate roles. To support fresh and recent graduates, AIA Singapore is also joining the SGUnited Traineeships Programme to offer positions for digital roles such as data analytics and UX design.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
