Standard Chartered offers sustainable investment deposit

Liquidity raised will be allotted to activities related to UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Standard Chartered Singapore is offering Asia’s first sustainable deposit for corporate and individual clients, according to a press release.

The Lion City has the highest number of high net worth investors who are well-informed about sustainable investing.

This program, developed with Sustainalytics, follows the bank’s Green and Sustainable Product Framework which sets the basis for future products to help fund SDGs across several developing countries.

In May, Standard Chartered established the world’s first sustainable deposit to limited European investors, with every dollar deposited referenced against assets that support the SGDs.
