Moomoo opens Bugis branch to back SGX Value Unlock program

The company’s third store and Moo Academy to guide retail traders on Singapore-listed firms.

Moomoo Singapore opened its third physical store in Bugis and launched Moo Academy, a financial education programme aimed to provide investors with guidance on the platform and structured learning on financial markets, the company said in a press statement.

Moomoo Singapore also signed a strategic partnership with the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS).

The agreement covers educational workshops, investment literacy programmes, and community engagements aimed at increasing retail investor knowledge in Singapore, the company said. Selected SIAS programmes will be hosted at the Bugis location as part of Moo Academy.

“The partnership aligns with initiatives such as SGX’s Value Unlock programme, which supports retail investor participation in Singapore-listed companies,” said Jeyson Ng, CEO-Designate of Moomoo Singapore. He added that the collaboration is designed to provide investors with practical learning opportunities.

“The collaboration provides investors with more opportunities to access structured financial learning and strengthen their understanding of capital markets,” said Ang Hao Yao, Vice President of SIAS, highlighting the association’s role in expanding investor outreach.

Ng Yao Loong, Head of Equities at SGX Group, said: “The partnership demonstrates coordination among key market stakeholders to promote investor education,” noting the broader impact on Singapore’s capital markets ecosystem.

Moomoo Singapore said it has previously delivered investor festivals, thematic summits, workshops, online courses, market commentaries, and insights.

The Bugis location and Moo Academy aim to extend these initiatives into a physical learning environment that brings together retail investors, listed companies, and industry partners.

The company said the initiative seeks to increase awareness of Singapore-listed businesses and provide investors with information on corporate fundamentals.

The Bugis location follows Moomoo Singapore’s earlier stores at 313@Somerset and Jem.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
