SATS acquires UK-based Monty's Bakehouse for $48.4m

Monty’s Bakehouse will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of SATS.

SATS has acquired UK-based aviation food solutions company Monty’s Bakehouse for $48.4m, said in its bourse filing.

Monty’s Bakehouse will then be a wholly-owned subsidiary of SATS Investments (SIPL).

The two firms are also set to establish an innovation centre in Singapore as a test bed for food products for aviation catering, buy on board retail, and adjacent markets.

SATS will also work with Monty's Bakehouse to develop sustainable food packaging solutions using minimal plastics.
