August sees stronger F&B growth, boosted by increases in all industries

Sales grew by 4.3% YoY.

Food and beverage (F&B) sales grew by 4.3 YoY in August, a stronger growth compared to July, when sales rose by 0.2% YoY. 

Month-on-month, sales grew by 3.5%.

Sales value clocked in at $1b. Of the total sales value, 24.2% was from online sales.

According to the Department of Statistics Singapore (Singstat), all four industries recorded year-on-year sales growth in August, led by  Food Caterers, which posted a 24.3 YoY increase. 

Restaurants, Fast Food Outlets, and Cafes, Food Courts, and Other Eating Places recorded YoY increases of 2.0%, 0.1%, and 3.3%, respectively.
