F&B sales up 1.6% YoY in September

Total sales value reached $978m.

Food and beverage (F&B) services sales grew by 1.6% year-on-year (YoY) in September, down from the 4.4% YoY growth recorded in August, according to Singstat.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, sales of F&B services dipped 2.1% in September compared to the previous month.

The estimated total sales value of F&B services for the period reached $978m, with 23.9% from online sales which slipped from the 24.1% recorded in August.

F&B segments such as food caterers as well as cafes, food courts and other eating places registered growths in sales of 19.1% and 2.4% respectively in September.

On the flip side, sales in the fast food outlets and restaurants segments dropped 4.1% and 1.0% respectively during the period.
