Far East Hospitality expands portfolio with new hotel brand

It will manage operations as well as sales and marketing for The Clan Hotel.

Far East Hospitality will operate The Clan Hotel as a new brand that will be under its overall management, an announcement revealed. The brand’s first hotel is eyed to be opened by 2020.

Located at Far East Square, the 324-room property will target business travellers in late-20s to mid-40s. Its interior will be filled with monochromatic images of bustling streets and shophouses, samsui women and coolies, and warehouses bursting with exotic goods.

“This design concept takes its inspiration from various clan associations that lined the area of Far East Square, Amoy and Cross Street,” the firm said.

Guests will also be treated as a member of an exclusive Club, with highly customised services relevant to the upper mid-tier clientele.

As part of the hotel management agreement, Far East Hospitality’s responsibilities for The Clan Hotel will include hotel operations, and sales & marketing functions.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.
