Hotels to see 3.7% supply increase in next two years: report
The upcoming supply includes 1,000 rooms from the Liang Court and 700 rooms from Resorts World.
The hotel sector in Singapore is expected to see a 3.7% increase in supply in 2026 and 2027, another supply influx for a second straight year, DBS Group Research said.
The additions include 700 rooms expansion of Resorts World Sentosa in October 2025 and over 1,000 rooms expected from the Liang Court site redevelopment, which is expected to open in early 2027.
Roughly half of the incoming supply is positioned in the luxury–upscale segment and about half sits within the CBD, DBS added.
DBS also expected islandwide revenue per room (RevPAR) to rise 2% year on year (YoY) in 2026, driven primarily by higher occupancy rather than rate growth.
Room rates are likely to remain broadly flat YoY given the 1.2% increase in supply in 2026.
Demand should be supported by a 3% to 4% rise in tourist arrivals in the coming year, whilst the Singapore Tourism Board has yet to release forecasts for 2026.
The increased tourist arrivals should meet new stock and lift occupancies by 2 points in 2026, DBS said.
