Mandai concludes decade-long revamp with Rainforest Wild Adventure launch
The development spans five wildlife parks, two nature attractions, and public green spaces.
Mandai Wildlife Group has opened Rainforest Wild Adventure East, completing a decade-long redevelopment of its 126 ha Mandai site into a multi-park wildlife and nature precinct.
The development includes five wildlife parks, two nature attractions, and public green spaces, with offerings ranging from animal exhibits to outdoor recreation, food outlets, and accommodation.
The new addition expands Asia’s first adventure-oriented wildlife park concept into two zones.
Together, they cover about 20 ha of habitats modelled on rainforest ecosystems from Asia and Africa.
The site combines animal viewing with adventure-based activities, including high ropes courses and other guided challenges.
Wildlife seen in the area includes species such as okapis, whilst some experiences allow visitors to observe primates like Diana monkeys from elevated walkways.
A key facility within the new zone is the Mandai Wildlife Centre, the third veterinary hospital in the precinct.
Operated by Mandai Nature, it focuses on the treatment and rehabilitation of rescued native wildlife such as Sunda pangolins, Sunda colugos, pythons, and bats.
The facility includes a public viewing gallery with educational displays.
Parts of the treatment areas are expected to be open for viewing once operations are fully established in July.
The group also introduced a consolidated brand for its overnight stays, now called “Glamping in the Wild,” covering two locations.
One of them, Crocodile Lodge in Rainforest Wild Adventure East, is located near a crocodile habitat and has 20 tents that can each host up to four guests.
Stays bundle access to adventure activities across the precinct, meals, and evening programmes such as survival skills workshops and outdoor film screenings.
It joins Reservoir Retreat, formerly known as Colugo Camp, which offers a second overnight option within the reserve.
