SG tourism product searches from China rise after visa-free travel news

Visa-free travel between the countries will begin on 9 February.

Amidst news of visa-free travel between Singapore and China, Trip.com saw a 30% MoM jump in searches for Singapore tourism products on its Chinese platform.

China-related searches in Singapore also increased by 20% MoM, revealed the platform.

Visa-free travel between the countries will begin on 9 February.

Trip.com also reported that the number of travel bookings made by Singapore travellers into China has increased 66% MoM since the start of the year.

As of 24 January, the number of bookings made by Chinese travellers to Singapore during the Spring Festival festive period increased more than 14 times YoY.
