iWOW, GetSetUp to launch active ageing initiative in Singapore

The collaboration focuses on peer learning, digital access and senior participation in AI tools.

iWOW Technology Limited has partnered with global peer-learning platform GetSetUp to launch an initiative aimed to expand participation opportunities for seniors through peer-led learning, digital engagement and community-based activities in Singapore.

The partnership was announced at the World Ageing Festival with the intention to support a shift towards what they described as “productive ageing,” where seniors can take on roles as contributors, learners and participants in knowledge-based activities, according to the companies.

The collaboration will use GetSetUp’s online platform, which enables seniors to learn from peers through virtual classes and community sessions. The platform will also be used to support skills development and engagement for older adults in Singapore.

According to the companies, the platform is designed to allow seniors to participate in activities remotely, complementing existing programmes such as Active Ageing Centres.

The initiative will also include efforts to support seniors in using artificial intelligence tools for everyday tasks, including communication and personal organisation.

“When learning is guided by peers who understand their concerns, seniors gain confidence much faster,” said GetSetUp president Neil Dsouza.

iWOW executive director and chief executive officer Raymond Bo said the partnership reflects a focus on enabling seniors to remain engaged through skills and participation.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
