Over 1 in 2 marketing professionals will ditch their current jobs in 2015: report

Singaporeans are the most dissatisfied of the lot.

Majority of marketing professionals in Singapore are dissatisfied with their jobs, a 51% say that they will leave their present bosses in the new year.

A study released today by recruitment firm font showed that Singapore’s marketing professionals are the most dissatisfied in the region. Singapore’s job dissatisfaction rate was considerably higher than the 42% average recorded in the region.

Almost 7 in 10, or 69% of local marketers also said that they are reevaluating their career plans over the Christmas period.

Across the region, the main reason behind marketing professionals’ current job dissatisfaction is attributed to pay and benefits (39%), followed by a lack of professional development opportunities (26%) and long working hours (17%).
